Marowak- Pokemon
Costume and photo by me
Costume modeled by
Here is the first shot of the completed Marowak costume! The bone club, skull helmet, and bone pauldron are made of a combination of foam, worbla, friendly plastic, and apoxie sculpt (on the pauldron spikes). The claw necklace and cubone skull belt buckle are sculpey. Everything is painted with Liquitex Basics acrylic paint. The makeup (you can't see it well from this angle) is Kryolan Aquacolor. It took approximately 70 hours to complete, most of which was spent on the bone armor and club. I drew a lot of inspiration from barbarians when coming up with this design. I wanted to combine Marowak with something that matched his savage nature, so barbarian seemed to fit. I also looked at a lot of Marowak gijinka artwork when coming up with my design. I drew a lot of inspiration from one drawing in particular, and I would credit the artist if I could find them, but I can't even find that drawing at this point. It seems to have disappeared from the internet
